Update Part 2 - Pictures!

Update

It has been almost a year since I have posted! I cannot believe it has been that long! We have so busy in the Wilson household, that blogging has just kind of hit the back burner. So here is a quick recap of the last year!

My last post was of my delivery with Claira-lynn and oh how far we have come since then. We were greatly enjoying having a family of 3 and taking in every little moment with our sweet daughter. Both of my grandparents were able to make the journey up to Wake Forest to meet their great-granddaughter, which I was so thankful for.
I went back to work 6 weeks after delivery and it was such a struggle leaving my baby everyday. I was so thankful for my friends at work who were so understanding and did so much to help me at work.
We went to visit Carey's grandparents in Asheville for Thanksgiving so that they could meet their great-granddaughter and it was such a precious time. I am thankful we live close to some family to visit every now and then.
For Christmas we were able to travel to Macon  to spend Christmas with Carey's parents and my parents drove up from Florida for a big family Christmas. It was such a blessing to get to have both sides of the family together to enjoy time with Claira-lynn.
Work continued as usual after that and I continued to soak up every minute with my baby girl when I was home. Hence, the blog absence. I already felt like she was growing up so fast! We decided for my Spring Break, we would take a mini-vacation to the Outer Banks to enjoy family time. It was amazing! I would go back every year if we could! We absolutely loved being on vacation at the beach with our family and seeing Claira-lynn enjoy the sights. :)
We then had our little world shaken up a bit as God decided to show a little more of His plan for our family to us. I had this overwhelming feeling in May that I was pregnant again. I didn't really pay it any attention for multiple reasons. One, I had already had the feeling and taken tests and they were negative. After trying so much before Claira-lynn and getting so many negative tests, I did not want to continue having them. When I took it, I wanted to be positive. Two, the fact I hadn't had that time of the month since before I was pregnant with Claira-lynn, I did not think things were working "right" or back to normal. Third, I thought that if I didn't take one, then I wouldn't be. But finally I just had to know because I was feeling very pregnant. I took a test one morning before work and sure enough, it was positive. The only thing I could do was smile. I couldn't imagine having another little gift from God that I could love. Carey and I were both excited but a little nervous because at this point Claira-lynn was only around 8 months old. Which meant our babies would be close together. But we clung to the truth that God will not give us anything we cannot handle and that He knows what is best for us. His ways are not our ways. So now, we will be adding to our family around December 24, 2012. :)
This pregnancy has been SO different than the first! I was so busy at work, getting ready to start a new job at a year round Middle school, and busy with Carey and Claira-lynn that many times I would forget I was pregnant. I only had 1 or 2 days of morning sickness with this pregnancy, have had more energy (not that I really had a choice because I was chasing Claira-lynn!), have had lower blood pressure, and lower weight gain. We then had our gender reveal ultrasound at the end of the summer which was an interesting one because this time Carey and I had switched on our gender guesses. I was positive it was a boy and he said he thought it was a girl. Last time, it was the other way around. :) The nurse put the want on my belly just to spread the gel around and with that first little glimpse I knew we had Fifth coming on his way. When she put the wand back on, he wanted everyone to know he was coming! We were so excited that we were getting Carey Douglas Wilson V! We are now preparing as much in advance before he comes since we need boy things now instead of little girl things! Half the time, I still do not feel as though I am pregnant until I look at my belly, move a certain way that does not work with a belly, he kicks me, or I am REALLY tired.
Along with finding out about the new addition coming to our family, Carey switched shifts at work and I started a new teaching job. Carey is still with Wal-Mart, but now works the night shift on the weekends instead of the day shift. There were many positive and negatives for both shifts, but we are enjoying having Daddy on Friday nights, Saturday mornings, Sunday mornings for church, and on Mondays to watch Claira-lynn. I miss having him home at night and after Sunday afternoon I do not see him until I get home from work on Tuesday afternoon, but right now this shift works better for our family. I also changed jobs and transferred within Wake County to East Wake Middle School teaching 6th grade Math. There have been many changes since I have been there due to numbers and now I am teaching 6th grade Social Studies teaching 2 tracks instead of just one, but I absolutely love it there. Most days I am home around 3, which is so nice! I miss my friends at ZES, but I love where I am! I am enjoying teaching Middle school and the perks that come with the new territory. :)
We recently were able to celebrate Claria-lynn's first birthday while I was tracked out from school and it was such a blast! I cannot believe that our sweet girl is a year old and in about 3 months we will have another addition to our family!
That was such a brief, quick snapshot of what has been going on in our lives the past year. Our family has grown so much this year, I know I have left SO many things out! I will post another post with pictures from the past year!
